Brendan Perlini Takes Jokiharju's Skate To Face
Detroit Red Wings' Brendan Perlini got his face slashed by the skate of Buffalo Sabres' Henri Jokiharju. Perlini was down for a few minutes, but the trainer was able to get him to the back.
With 3:51 left in the first period Perlini and Jokiharju carshed into the boards at an awkward angle. The results were a long slice to the right side of Perlini's nose that required a dozen or so stitches. It looked worse than it actually was and Perlini is very lucky that the skate caught him where it did an inch higher or lower and it could have been a lot worse.
The Detroit Red Wings lost to the Buffalo Sabres 3-2.
