Tampa Bay Lightning Just Massacred The Winnipeg Jets [Highlights]

The Lightning just took the Jets out to the woodshed and laid a beating on them that they won't soon forget.

At 10:35 in the first Anthony Cirelli opened the scoring with a shot from the slot after a nice drop pass from Palat. Then at 7:39 a great stretch pass was made up to a streaking Kucherov, him and Stamkos race in on a two on none and Kucherov finished it off to put the Lightning up 2-0. Finally with 0:52 seconds left, and the Jets looking defeated, Palat finds Cirelli in front of the net and he goes for a beyond easy layup off the backhand.

Going into the second all was quiet until 12:39 left in the second where Stamkos fought along the wall, got it to Point, and threaded a perfect pass to a waiting Kucherov for his second of the game. Then at 8:52 Carter Verhaeghe hit a nice nice snapshot right down the pipe to beat Hellebuyck on his glove side.

It was at this point the one of the Jets players decided he had seen enough. Mathieu Perreault with the puck on his stick tomahawked toward the goal and hit a nice and easy tap-in behind an out of position Vasilevskiy. With that the score was 5-1.

Well the Hockey Gods must have been in a Lightning favoring mood because at 12:12 in the third Cirelli scored his first career hat trick. That was promptly followed up with a goal from Alex Killorn which was also his 300th career point.

With minutes to go the Jets pulled their goalie, thought they scored and then had it called back for goalie interference.

Finally this brutal beating ended and the Lightning walked away with a disgusting 7-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets.
