Douchey NBC Suspends Roenick For 'Spittin' Chiclets' Interview

NBC is fucking terrible when it comes to hockey, so it's no surprise that they have chosen to suspend Jeremy Roenick for making a joke, about friends, on a hockey podcast.

The former NHL forward was suspended indefinitely without pay by NBC Sports on Monday for "inappropriate" comments about co-workers. What really happened was that Roenick made a few jokes about fellow hockey broadcasters, and personal friends, Kathryn Tappen, Patrick Sharp and Anson Carter during his interview on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast.

Roenick discussed a vacation to Portugal with his wife and Tappen, who are friends. He goes on to tell a story about a woman who wanted to know if the two women he was with were banging him. In a sarcastic response he tells the lady that he is having a wonderful vacation and yes these two women are with him (he is implying that he is banging them both six ways from Sunday if you didn't pick up on that yet). His wife tells him to stop messing with the lady and they all have a chuckle. Then he said it would be awesome if a three way were to go down, but he knows it would never happen.

Later in the interview, Roenick made a gay joke about Patrick Sharp saying if he asked him to go to bad he'd have to think about it, wouldn't just say no right away.

Spittin' Chiclets episode 228 is one of the best interviews that the boys have done and, in the context of the show, it should have been understood the shit he said was in jest. The real question here is who is the fuckboy who listened to the show and reported what he said with intent to see him reprimanded.

Take the time to listen to the episode and judge for yourself.

UPDATE: Kathryn Tappen has issued a statement on this "bombshell" case against Roenick  "While Jeremy and I continue to be good friends, what he said was unacceptable, especially among workplace colleagues. I do not condone his comments," Tappen said, according to John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal.
